Description

EQSP32CE is a next-generation, industrial-grade PLC built around the powerful 240MHz dual-core ESP32-S3 SoC with 512k RAM and 8M Flash, combining high I/O density with advanced connectivity and flexible software-defined functionality. Equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth® Low Energy and an RJ45 Ethernet port, EQSP32CE is designed for both wireless and wired IIoT environments.

This controller features 16 universal I/O terminals, all fully configurable in software. Each terminal can operate as a digital input, solid-state output, or switch input with customizable debounce timing. For more demanding applications, pins 1 to 8 support advanced analog input modes including 0–10V voltage input (AIN), 4–20mA current loop sensors (CIN), relative analog input (RAIN), and thermistor-based temperature sensing (TIN).

Industrial communication is seamless with native RS232, RS485 (half-duplex), and CAN-Bus interfaces, enabling the implementation of widely-used industrial protocols such as Modbus RTU, DMX512, CANopen, and other custom serial protocols. This makes EQSP32CE ideal for integration into diverse industrial ecosystems.

Its modular expansion system further enhances flexibility with support for specialized add-ons including thermocouple measurement (EQXTC), PT100 RTD sensors (EQXPT), pH monitoring (EQXPH), and digital I/O (EQXIO) modules. These are seamlessly managed through an internal automatic addressing and characterization architecture, allowing effortless scaling and device mapping across installations.

The built-in MQTT integration features a predefined topic structure, making EQSP32CE instantly compatible with Node-RED workflows and enabling automatic discovery in Home Assistant—no manual configuration required. With the EQConnect mobile app, users can provision WiFi credentials, configure timezones, and monitor both I/O states and modes in real time.

EQSP32CE may be programmed via the front facing USB-C programming port, using Arduino IDE, Visual Studio Code or any other ESP32 compatible IDE. Enhanced by the intelligent EQ-AI assistant, developers can not only auto-generate setup code from wiring diagrams or plain-English descriptions but also optimize performance and debug logical or functional issues. EQ-AI provides guided support through every stage of development, from concept to deployment.

EQSP32CE offers the power and flexibility of an embedded controller, with the convenience and reliability of an industrial-grade PLC—ideal for smart automation, remote monitoring, and IIoT applications.
