Library version 0.5.0 has been released and is now available in Arduino IDE library manager and in Erqos GitHub repository.
This update adds error detection on temperature measurements on EQXTC and EQXPT expansion modules and compatibility check during automatic module detection. The EQSP23 will now check for register map compatibility before accepting it into the integration, providing a safety mechanism for outdated firmware.
Changes and Fixes
EQSP32 Timer class is now renamed to EQTimer
Previously, the EQSP32 library API provided a class named Timer. To avoid build issues caused by conflicting class names with third-party libraries, this class has been renamed to EQTimer.
Important: All instances of Timer in user programs must be updated to EQTimer.
Note that the functionality of the class remains exactly the same as before.
Fixed memory issues on Erqos IoT interfaces
The Erqos IoT Interfaces are part of a beta feature and are not publicly available yet.
New Features
Enable/Disable EQConnect provisioning
Added disableErqosIoT option in EQSP32Configs for disabling Erqos IoT database connection and device provisioning.
By setting this option to true all provisioning tasks that are normally handled automatically by the EQSP32 library API will be disabled. This allows to take complete control over the IoT and provisioning solution of your system.
By disabling EQSP32 provisioning your EQSP32 will not be able to connect with EQConnect app and it will allow third party or custom solutions to be used.
Local time in Unix format
Added getLocalUnixTimestamp() function to allow access to timezone based time in Unix format.
Users may now use eqsp32.getLocalUnixTimestamp() to get the Unix timestamp adjusted for the local timezone offset (local time) or the existing eqsp32.getUnixTimestamp() function for the UTC (global) Unix epoch time.
Expansion module register map compatibility check
Added expansion module register map incompatibility detection. EQSP32 will generate an error if the current register map version does not align with the detected expansion module’s map.
This error might be triggered either because the expansion module firmware is outdated or if the EQSP32 library is not up to date.
Temperature sensor modules fault detection
Added macro IS_TC_VALID(value) for checking if EQXTC temperature value is valid. If false, the value contains the detected error code.
{see TC_FAULT_xx faults: TC_FAULT_OPEN, TC_FAULT_SHORT_GND, TC_FAULT_SHORT_VCC}
Added macro IS_PT_VALID(value) for checking if EQXPT temperature value is valid. If false, the value contains the detected error code.
{see TC_FAULT_xx faults}
This feature provides wiring and sensor error information for EQXPT and EQXTC expansion modules.
